Job description

A cameraman is responsible for capturing moving images for films, television shows, commercials, and other audiovisual content. This professional works closely with directors and other members of the production team to ensure that the images captured meet the creative vision of the project.

Profile of a professional cameraman:

1. Technical knowledge:

Mastery of cameras and filming equipment.

Expertise in different video formats and lighting techniques.

2. Creativity and artistic skills:

Ability to create engaging visual compositions.

Ability to capture narrative and emotion through the camera.

3. Project management:

Organization and planning of filming sessions.

Ability to communicate clearly with the manager and other team members.

4. Effective communication:

Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.

Position duties:

1. Pre-production:

Participate in location planning and scouting.

Prepare and set up camera equipment.

2. Production:

Operate the camera during filming, ensuring image quality.

Adjust lighting and framing according to the director's needs.

3. Post-production:

Collaborate with the editing team to ensure that the images fit the vision of the project.

Review footage and provide feedback on the quality of shots.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Communication, or related fields.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a cameraman.

Portfolio of previous projects.

Advanced skills in handling cameras and filming equipment.

Creativity (ESSENTIAL).

Initiative and proactivity.

Good management of work relations in favor of the company's processes.

Meeting deadlines.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibility, availability, and commitment.

Commitment to ethical practices at all stages of production.

Ability to work under pressure.

Intermediate to advanced English.

Full-time, in-person work.
